Plan International
In more than half of all countries in the world, fewer girls than boys attend high school. Poverty, gender stereotypes, social norms, child marriage, sexual violence and unwanted pregnancies are some examples of obstacles to girls' ability to go to school. Plan International is an organization that works to give more children and, above all, girls, in some of Guatemala's socio -economically most vulnerable regions the opportunity to continue going to school. One step in this work is to offer school grants in collaboration with 30 high school and upper secondary schools. Something that enables continued education for thousands of girls. Since children's right to play and learning is so colse to heart for HAGS, this is a project that we are pleased to support.
Team Rynkeby
Team Rynkeby is part of a European charity project that raises money every year for children with cancer and their families. The participants are organized into different teams that jointly cycle down to Paris. Team Rynkeby was founded in 2002 in Denmark, when 11 exercise cyclists related to Danish juice producer Rynkeby Foods A/S decided to cycle to Paris to see the end of the Tour de France. Rynkeby Foods was the main sponsor of the bike ride, but other companies also showed their support. The participants in history's first team Rynkeby team were actually so good at getting sponsors that they got a surplus of SEK 44,500 when the team returned to Denmark a week later. The money donated Team Rynkeby to the Children's Cancer Department at Odense University Hospital, and a new tradition was thus born. During one year, participants should not only be able to cycle just over 1,200 km to Paris - they also oblige themselves to make an effort to raise money for children with serious illnesses.
